The Intel Core- series of processors have now received their latest upgrade in the form of the Comet Lake Refresh. The i9 Processor with 10 cores, launched in April 2020, at an MSRP of $547. It is part of the Core i9 lineup, using the Comet Lake architecture with Socket 1200. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading the core-count is effectively doubled, to 20 threads. Core i9-10900K has 20 MB of L3 cache and operates at 3.7 GHz by default, but can boost up to 5.3 GHz, depending on the workload.
